In Thinking Fast and Slow, Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman outlines two different modes of thinking and details particular cases where mental mistakes can get us into trouble. These “mistakes” are often referred to as heuristics or fallacies (Sunk Cost Fallacy, for example). Thinking Fast and Slow is an account of the findings that Kahneman and his former research partner, Amos Tversky, took from years of studying human behavior. I found it incredibly fascinating, and I took dozens of pages of notes. If you’re into psychology and human behavior, this is a must read.
