Radical Candor

Rating: 3/5

In Radical Candor, author Kim Scott lays out a framework for leadership that involves two dimensions: caring personally and challenge directly. Each quadrant of the framework exemplifies a type of management style with the goal of scoring high on both (which would be considered radical candor). Kim lays out suggestions for each quadrant along with frameworks for different leadership actions like providing feedback, having career conversations, hiring and firing.

I’ve read quite a bit about this framework previously, and I think you could get the majority from just reading this article on First Round. However, if you want to expand on that article, you can pick this up for additional reading.
