Based on her TED talk, Sandberg’sĀ Lean In focuses on why we have so few women in leadership roles in the workplace. Sandberg discusses many personal stories and blockers she encountered on her road to becoming COO at Facebook. She discusses her thoughts on what is holding women back right now and strategies to fix the men to women ratio. It’s highly worth a read (regardless of whether you’re a woman or not) as it sheds some light on a problem that we’re all a part of.

I sad no to a lot of opportunities when I was just starting out because I thought, ‘That’s not what my degree is in’ or ‘I don’t know about the domain.’ In retrospect, at a certain point it’s your ability to learn quickly and contribute quickly that matters.
